A couple of months ago I was honored to be contacted by ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to produce furniture and artwork for the little girl’s room in the William’s family home in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia. I never knew that being involved in such a project would be as moving as it was. The show’s producer had heard that I create artwork from reusing and reclaiming building materials and found objects. When she told me about the theme for the room, I knew I could find some great materials in middle Georgia.

In 96 hours a highly coordinated group of builders, skilled tradesman, designers, and volunteers worked around the clock to construct a 4,150 square foot home that has dramatically changed the lives of the Jeremy, Jennifer, Josie, and Jacob Williams. Life has been extremely challenging for the Williams family who are battling ALS, a terminal illness, a childhood disability, and their home literally crumbling around them. In spite of these trials, the members of the Williams family have been inspirational role models for their Pine Mountain Valley, Ga Community. To learn more about this incredible family click here.
Special Thanks to my Aunt Marcia, Kristin Reid and Glenn Levent
